In Dreams, Beauty is Everywhere

History is history, they say,
but the long list of family, friends, lovers, moments, persists,
in dreams, half-remembered,
the place where life makes less sense, but has more meaning,
where memories that mean little in daylight
and fantasies that have no purchase in daylight,
become the world.

No one builds a life, life builds you,
or tears you down, or both,
a random interaction between what you need and want
and what life gives you.

People don't understand people.
how odd we are,
people don't understand life,
how odd it is.
Or won't admit it.

In the world of dreams,
the world resolves itself.
Crazy is normal,
ugly is beautiful,
and beauty is everywhere,
everywhere, everywhere.
